VBAC Class
Remember this, for it is as true as true gets:
Your body is not a lemon. You are not a machine. The Creator is not a careless mechanic. Human female bodies have the same potential to give birth well as aardvarks, lions, rhinoceri, elephants, moose, and water buffalo. Even if it has not been your habit throughout your life so far, I recommend that you learn to think positively about your body.~ Ina May Gaskin
VBAC. Vaginal Birth After Cesarean. This class series is specifically for women who have given birth via cesarean section and prefer the next birth be vaginal.
A woman might have a cesarean section for many reasons. She might have been carrying twins or she might have had a baby in the breech position (feet first). She may have been told that her placenta was getting too mature to sustain baby or that her baby wasn’t strong enough to continue labor and vaginal birth.
For most causes and most women, a vaginal birth in the next pregnancy is a perfectly safe option. Your obstetrician or midwife will let you know if VBAC is an option for you.
The VBAC Class series is the perfect way to prepare yourself ahead of time. In addition to the regular childbirth education series content, we will expand on your particular past surgical birth experience. We’ll explore
choosing a VBAC support team. Care provider and birthplace are the most important parts of a successful VBAC. Discover why hiring a doula can significantly reduce your chance of repeat cesarean.
You’ll learn about informed consent and denial. You’ll finish class knowing you’ve prepared and educated yourself toward your goal of vaginal birth after cesarean.
VBAC Classes are private and the registration fee is $400
